Transformers - VW Routan Transformation

Part 1-- Search For A New Human

“Mrs. Kelsie Tallulah?” a young man walks into the patient waiting room of a local hospital. He is dressed in a bleach-white doctor’s robe, wearing his stethoscope around his neck. He is an average man, about six foot tall with salt-n-pepper hair and a clean-trimmed face.

Kelsie rises and looks at the doctor. She has a bandage around her left arm…concealing the raw flesh that was damaged only hours ago. She slowly walks over to the doctor and she awaits the bad news by the look on the doctors’ face. “I am Kelsie.” she answers, cleaning her throat.

“Hi Mrs. Tallulah, I am Doctor Claire…you have a moment?” he asks as he ushers her to an empty room. Tallulah looks around and simply nods. The two walk into a spare room and Dr. Claire invites Mrs. Tallulah to take a seat. As Kelsie takes a seat Dr. Claire talks about a tough subject. “Your son is stable, but we were unable to repair the muscular damage in his left leg…” he begins.

“How bad is it?” Tallulah looks down, remembering why her son and she are here…the accident totaled there car…she was lucky enough to escape with only a few bumps and scrapes, but her son was pinned in the crumpled metal.

“We were able to remove shrapnel out of his leg, but the damage from the shrapnel severed the muscles and cut the tendons. His right leg was in pretty bad shape, but the surgeon was able to reattach the tendons once more.”

“Can he go home?” Kelsie asks, wondering if she should be calling a cab.

Dr. Claire nods, “Yes…we will send you are wheelchair to your address…for now we will send him on forearm crutches.” States the doctor, “It is imperative that you understand something…” he says as Kelsie tunes in, “it is a good chance that your son will never walk again…and if he does so, it will be strictly limited!”

This was a lot for Kelsie, “Forearm crutches…for how long?” she asks, wondering if it will be a few month ordeal before the physician finds a more-final solution.

Dr. Claire shakes his head, “I am afraid that the damage is irreversible…he will always need additional support.” Dr. Claire rises and Kelsie follows the physician to her sons’ room.

Kelsie looks inside and sees her son laid in bed. He has always been delicate, but with his bum legs, he is now disabled. She walks over to him and brushes the hair away from his eyes. She sees that he has been crying. Dr. Claire leaves them and Kelsie and her son wait for discharge.

“They were telling me that I will never walk like I once did before!” he sobs.

    “Stellan…I am sorry.” says Kelsie.

Stellan was like any average boy. He has thick blonde hair, light-blue eyes and fair skin. Only 4 foot nine, he is considered short for his age. Also being very thin, as contributed to having CRMS, a genetic disease that attacks the pancreas, he has spent more time in hospitals then at home, but now being unable to walk without the use of metal crutches…is debilitating!

“It’s not your fault,” begins the boy, “the truck ran a red light and T-boned us.” he remarks, answering why his mom only had a few bumps and scratches and his body was broken.

Kelsie shakes, “That is still no excuse to not have been more careful…your granddad always told me to count to three before engaging on green…enough time for the idiots to run the red lights…but I did not!” tears begin to roll down her cheek as she looks at her broken son and the forearm crutches they have fitted to the child.

“Do we get to go home?” Stellan asks.

Kelsie nods, “Yes we do honey…all we are waiting is for the discharge papers…” Kelsie pulls out her cell-phone and looks up cab-companies in their area. Even though they live only about a mile away, she does not want to place any further stress on her son. She steps out of the room as the cab company come onto the line. “Hi…I would like a call a cab…” Kelsie’s tired complexion turns to disappointment, “Nothing for a few hours?” she sighs, “Okay…thanks anyway.”

She returns back into the hospital room and Stellan, whom overheard the call, “No cab?”

Kelsie nods, “They are booked up…looks like we will have to take the bus honey.” She says.

Stellan sighs, “Guess it is better than walking!”

    Kelsie smiles, “Guess so.”

Stellan looks outside for a moment, “What about our car?” he asks.

“Totaled…I don’t know what we are going to do about transportation.” she remarks, not having the money to immediately buy a new car and knowing that their next vehicle might need to be wheelchair accessible

After a while Dr. Claire walks back in with the discharge papers. He wishes Stellan and Kelsie the best of luck and a nurse helps Stellan down to the main entrance. Once outside, Stellan is placed on his crutches and stumbles a bit, feeling the pain radiate through his weak legs. They bow when he places too much weight upon them. Walking slowly, Kelsie helps her son along, but it is a slow process. Outside the hospital, Stellan was to take a break and looks up at his mom.

“Honestly…this sucks!” he remarks, not sugarcoating his feelings.

“I know honey,” she answers, seeing her son struggle.

Not too far away, in the deep woods, Arcee and Aaron gather to discuss a topic that Aaron does not want to hear.

Arcee stands behind Aaron, she has been keeping watch over the child since his transformation into a Humanbotacon…a new breed of Cybertronian. The amazing miracle of the Transformers and Humans…they are alike. The humans own body produced enough iron to make metal…organic metal. Aaron’s existence was a mistake, created when Shockwave scrambled the child’s DNA and the child mixed with the blueprints of a Subaru Forester that he landed upon.

The transformation took only a few days to complete, but by the time it was through, the Autobots had their first new member. If the Decepticons knew that humans could be turned into Transformers, it would change the war…with five billion souls living on Earth…the war could be waged for another millennium…or it could end the existence of the Cybertronians.

Optimus Prime promised that he would not kill any human, but he knew that if Earth was to be liberated of the Decepticon menace, they need more warriors…only problem, Megatron’s malice has nearly wiped out all of the Autobots. With the creation of Aaron, Optimus had hopes that if they could find more humans whom DNA could be merged with Cybertronian DNA, they could increase their ranks, save planet Earth and one day, return to Cybertron.

Ratchet had studied Aaron closely and broke the code. With this code…any human could be transformed into a Humanbotacon. The technology was like a virus…once the subject was infected, there would be no stopping it. Ratchet felt that his creation was that of the Earthers term…Frankenstein…this type of technology could destroy the Autobots and also destroy the Decepticons…for the Humanbotacons did not need energon to live; their bodies automatically made the energon. Nevertheless, they need to be sure if the tech actually worked, so Optimus Prime laid down the rules:

First—No Human’s Shall Be Forced Beyond Their Will

Secord—No Fully Healthy, Functional Humans Shall Be Used

Third—No Adult Humans Shall Be Used

Fourth---No Humanbotacon’s Shall Be Allow To Fight Alone Until They Are An Adult

The rules were simple. For the first rule, no human will be forced or trick into becoming a Humanbotacon…this would only create stress and animosity towards the Autobots. Second rule is to limit the possible humans. It isn’t right to remove a healthy, fully functional human out of the gene pool. Optimus did not want the Autobot’s to simply transform the human race into them…that is not their goal. Third seems odd to parents…but the psychology of the human adult is far too aggressive and the transformation might kill the body. A child can be conditioned and taught the ways of the Autobot’s. Lastly, since Humanbotacon’s are simply humans with machine-parts…they are at risk of falling easily into Decepticon traps and may not withstand torture or pain…they are simply to help heal other Autobots, gather information and add assistance.

For the surviving Autobots: Ratchet, Bulkhead, Arcee, Bumblebee and Wheeljack, these seemed like reasonable limitations, but for Aaron, he did not like the idea of humans being transformed into Transformers…it seemed inhumane!

Arcee, who has sensed Aaron’s distress walks over to comfort him. “We are a dying people Aaron.” She begins. “Optimus won’t allow this technology to be used to terraform your species into Humanbotacon’s!”

Aaron turns and faces Arcee, “This isn’t the Humans fight…this isn’t our war!”

“It became your war when Megatron invaded your planet…he will do anything he can to see that your race serves its main function…slave race.” she remarks.

Aaron shakes his head, “We were once a slave race…some even say we were all genetically modified for that function also…so what will stop this from happening?”

Arcee does not answer Aaron’s question for she has no reply that he would want to hear. “This tech that Ratchet made can only be opened by his Spark…even if you feel into the hands of the Decepticon’s, they don’t have the skills or knowledge to decipher your genetic code…the Decepticon’s were not designed to be learners.”

“Whom do you have in mind?” asks Aaron, knowing that the experiment all occur with-or-without his opinion.

“I will seek out any human child with a physical disability and offer them the chance to join our ranks…like you, I will see that they are taken care of and taught.” states Arcee. Arcee opens her hand and laying on his metallic skin is a simple key. “The Humans call it an ‘Electronic Key’

“Fancy-dancy…” says Aaron as he looks at the key. It has a red ‘panic’ button, a ‘lock’ and ‘unlock’ button. A left and right passenger door opener and the rear trunk has a weird symbol with a ramp exiting the car. “What type of car is this?”

“The humans call it a VW Routan Wheelchair Van…I will be seeking a child that is crippled.”

Aaron shakes his head, “Although it will be nice to have another like me…I still think this is an epically terrible idea!”

“I know…” Arcee turns and transforms into a Kawasaki Ninja 250R motorcycle and hits the open road. Making sure the Decepticon troops were not in the area, she began a detailed biological scan for any human that make her criteria. There was only one…very close to her location.

Coming into the area, she spots a blonde-hair boy sitting with his mother. He looks perfectly normal except for the metal rods laying at his side. She listens in onto the child’s conversation.

“How are you going to get to work mommy?” he asks her.

The human female looks out at the road, “I’ll use the bus…until I save enough money to find a vehicle that both you and I can ride in.”

The boy looks at his legs and pulls up his pants leg to reveal metal rods protruding through his skin. “When did they say that these could be removed?”

The female adult looks down, she seems embarrassed and has her some cover up the metallic rods, “It will be awhile!” she remarks. The child must have got the message for he did not lift his pants legs again.

Arcee felt that this might be the chance to offer the child the chance to regain his mobility and save his planet. Transforming out of vehicle mode and into robot mode before two humans seems odd, but she takes the risk.

Kelsie sees the motorcycle turn into a seven foot tall alien robot and jumps to her feet with a yelp. She proceeds to run, but knocks her sons crutches over and seeing that Stellan cannot easily move, she comes back to her son, shielding him.

“Do not fret Human…I will not harm you.” Arcee begins.

“Wa…what are you?” Kelsie asks of the robot.

“I am called Arcee…I was overhearing your ordeal and I’d like to offer your son a chance to regain his mobility.” She says as she crotches close to the ground, getting to their level. “I can’t offer much, but what I can offer will give you the chance to stand on your own, provide transportation for your mother and save your planet from the Decepticons.”
